Review of New BloodStained: Ritual of the Night 2019 is here!

The thriving subgenre of “Metroidvania” games exists to attempt to recreate the magic of classic Metroid and Castlevania games because original programmers Nintendo and Konami fell the concept past. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night achieves this aim better than most since it performs and feels exactly like the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It should, considering that was the complete pitch of the Kickstarter back in 2015, and that the group behind it’s led by Symphony’s assistant director, Koji”Iga” Igarashi. Granted, not all efforts at crowdfunded religious successors to beloved games end up successful (considering you, Mighty No. 9) however, the stars have aligned for Bloodstained. Ritual of the Nighttime has emerged as a sport worthy of its heritage.
